~When He Says He Loves Us~

Thrust into a life not quite knowing love,But longing for it, looking above.God's graceful hand shows us what we need,He leads us on our own unique journey,And He shows us what He means,When He says He loves us...
One of those most awesome ways,Is to bind two as one for the rest of their days.Holding hands and bouncing over rocky terrain,Embracing eachother when it seems there's too much pain,But love abounds with each year that passes,And wisdom winks in old eyes behind glasses.Only then can we begin to understand,What God means when He says He loves us...
With your children, shall your wisdom be shared,We can all see how your journey has faired.We learned that what matters is the long game,And that glory be to God - our pride gains no fame.We learned that love is best expressed,When it's put to the test,When it's allowed to roam free,And then we run back into our Father's arms, sincerely.Little by little we see, that's what God means,When He says He loves us...
Grandma & Grandpa, Thank you for your example, Your faithfulness,Your perseverance and dedication,God uses every effort for His kingdom, His children, for you and for us,So with each day we learn how to let go and trust,I think we're starting to learn...That's what God means when He says He loves us.

How Can I Glorify You?

How can I glorify you O Lord?

With these harsh pains of sin

And these deep sorrows of loss

And these threats of chaos

With these fears of abandonment

and things that are tragic

I get so lost…

I want to do right by you

But I feel so weak and thin

I want to be strong for you

But I can’t pull my own weight within

I want to rightly represent you

But my insecurities are shaking again

I want to glorify you

I’ll do it however you wish

I want to glorify you

I’ll sing your name, Jesus

...sometimes we feel weak. this life isn't easy, and it pulls at us everyday. in our lowest moments, God is there. Immanuel. sometimes we don't have the answers and we are too disturbed to listen for them. what do we do? how can we still glorify God when we are distracted and debilitated? sometimes all we can do is say His name, praise Him. it is impossible to lose everything when we have already been redeemed and granted the ultimate gift of eternal life. there is always much to be thankful for, so praise Him and let Him comfort you.
